Hi! I’m trying to have my social link widgets pop up as a new link/page when they are clicked on.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I will try to help you with this. I see you want all the social menu icon links to open in new tab of the browser.
Follow these steps to do so:
– Go to My Sites > WP-Admin Dashboard (or click this URL https://aiyanaedmundblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/)
– Go to Appearance > Menus
– Select the Social Links Menu from dropdown
– Click Select
– Click Screen Options
– Check the ‘Link Target’ checkbox
– Click on menu option one by one (say Facebook, Instagram etc.)
– Check the ‘Open in New Tab’ checkbox
– Click Save MenuThis will open your social profile links in new tab.
Hope this helps!

Hello!
Unfortunately, this widget does not have an option to open in a separate tab. Staff member kokkieh mentioned here:
1. Is there a way I can add some code to each icon so that when people click on it, it opens in a new tab instead of in the same tab as my blog?
It is not possible with this widget, no. This widget has no place to add an href attribute to the link, nor any other way to force links to open in a new tab.
Sorry about that. I hope this answers your question!

@aiyanaedmundblog
I missed the point you were asking about Widget. In case of social links widget @theblakesheep has given the right answer. My approach is for Social Links Menu. If you set up a Social Links Menu then you can follow my instructions to open links in new tab.

How is it possible to have 88 on my facebook share button at bottom of post when stats say the post has only been read 50 times?
