social media bar

  Hello!

  I would like an email, twitter and instagram icon at the top of my site as a social media bar that when clicked links to each; I am looking to use the image icons (twitter bird, envelope for email and instagram camera icons) and can’t seem to figure it out, please help!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Your theme doesn’t include a place to add a social media bar to the top of your site. You could use the Social Media Icon widget to add the icons to the top of your sidebar or your footer, but that’s not exactly what you are looking for.

  If you are interested in trying a new theme that does include social media icons in a more prominent way, let me know and I’ll be happy to help you look.

  Hi Liz,

  I would really appreciate that, thank you! Does my theme not support a search bar at the top of my home page either? I’m also having trouble with that. Let me know what my other options are if you please!

  Happy to help. None of the themes I found are especially similar to what you have now, but they all have social links at the top, and most of them have a way to add search in a useful way. Let me know if any of them appeal to you.

  If none of those work, you can add text links to your social media accounts in your menu. We could also add image links to social media as part of your menu, but the process we would use requires CSS, so you’d need to upgrade to WordPress.com Premium first.
