Hi, I have added the facebook, twitter buttons at the bottom of the page for my blog. I wanted to check how can I change this from the bottom of the page to the left of the page so that people can see them when they are reading my blog? thanks for your help.

You added those buttons using a widget. Widgets can only be added to supported widget areas in the specific theme you’re using, which in your case is either the footer, or the sidebar on the right.
Do you mean you want the buttons on the left against the margin, where they remain in place even as you scroll down the page? If so, doing that is only possible using a plugin, or a premium/third party theme that has a feature like that built in. Using plugins or third party themes on WordPress.com requires our Business Plan:
