Social Media Counts

    I just posted a blog and only the share buttons are listed at the bottom. For some reason, I can’t figure out how the share counts appear on those buttons. I want to be able to see how many times the article has been Tweeted, shared on Facebook, etc. in real time. HELP!

    Hi lisarinkus,

    I don’t know if this works for all the Social Media buttons, but I saw it worked for me on both the Facebook and Google Plus buttons.

    In the WP-admin of your WordPress site, go to Settings > Sharing. Scroll down until you see the choice for “Button Style”. The default selection here is “Icon + Text”. Change this to “Official Buttons”. Go back to the front end of your site and refresh/reload the page. The buttons should now contain a “counter”. Hope this helps.
