  How do I get the social media menu icons to show up in the header image on the home page like the demo shows?

  The Social Links Menu section of the Independent Publisher theme guide says:

  Independent Publisher allows you to display links to your social media profiles, like Twitter and Facebook, as icons using a Custom Menu. The Social Links Menu is displayed below the site’s title and tagline. Learn how to set it up.
