Social Media Icons interfering with Search Bar (OXYGEN theme)

  Howdy!

  On the right-hand side of my page, I have a string of social media icons. I used the text widget and a little html customization (found on another forum) to create these. They work beautifully!

  Unfortunately, for whatever reason, they are interfering with the ‘search bar’ directly below them. More specifically, the last icon — the mail icon — is interfering: if you click the search bar, it reacts as if you’d clicked the mail icon and brings up, y’know, mail server stuff. I have tried several different fixes — removing the search bar and re-adding it; adding breaks after the last icon in html — nothing has worked.

  Any ideas on why this is? Any permanent fixes?

  The weird thing is, the search bar DOES work. The first time you click it, the mail stuff pops up — but you can still type in what you wanna search for at that point, hit return, and bingo: search results.

  My first thought would be is that you’ve got an unclosed A tag on that mail icon.
