Social media icons not showing with Button Theme

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

I am using the button theme for my free wordpress.com blog. I have setup a social media menu to link to my twitter/instagram/pinterest.

These icons show up when I am in the customizer (in chrome), however when I visit my website using chrome, they do not appear. They appear when I visit the website using internet explorer.

    How do I fix this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! I just took at look at the blog in question and I do see social media icons. They are on the top right hand of the page. The icons are also on the bottom of each post if the reader wants to share it on social media. I am also looking at the page in Chrome.

Are you still having this issue?

BTW: You blog is so interesting! Being pregnant in France must be such an experience!

Wanting to help is a good thing provided you actually provide help. Will you please consider not posting at all unless you have specific solutions to offer? It’s a waste of experienced Volunteers’ time to have to tailgate very newbie here into every thread to make sure they provide correct answers. We can answer at least twice as many questions when we do not have to do that. :)

Hmm that’s interesting, it might just be me! I still can’t see them when I use chrome, but yes they should be at the top right in the sidebar. As long as others are seeing it, it’s all good. :)

Thanks for your reply and comment! It definitely has been quite the experience, only 2~3 weeks left until the baby is here and I get to learn about new things!

  • karafrench – like mgalbritton, I’m able to see your social media icons in the sidebar in Chrome, version 48.0.2564.109.

I would suggest restarting Chrome in safe mode or temporarily deactivating all your Chrome browser extensions – one of timethief’s suggestions above – to see if something you’re running may be blocking them.

mgalbritton – thanks for confirming that you also were able to see the icons in Chrome even if the karafrench couldn’t, that is valuable and worth having posted, since it helped rule out a Chrome-specific issue. Don’t hesitate to do that in the future.
