Social media icons not working with web forwarding

    I have my blog set up with Mystique theme and have the Facebook and Twitter icons in the top right with links to my accounts.

    I have web forwarding set up so that I can give out my web address as http://www.rejuvenatenutrition.com and it forwards to my blog. I’ve noticed that when I access the site from my own url the links to the social media icons do not work. If I access the site via my sarahhurst.wordpress.com url they do work.

    This isn’t happening to any other links on the page, just the social media buttons. Can anyone help shed any light on this?

    We do not provide support for forwarding and masking.
    We do provide support for domain mapping upgrades.

    The subscription for domain mapping an existing domain is $13.00 per year per blog. And you need to have an underlying .wordpress.com blog URL to domain map from to the domain URL.

    You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog and purchase upgrades for it.

    If you would like to use your domain name purchased elsewhere and map from your free hosted wordpress.com blog to it, then you will first need to set up domain mapping by following these steps. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

    After you make the domain mapping purchase here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.
