Social Media links in RSS feed
-
I noticed that the RSS feed of my blog contains links to Facebook and Twitter. For example, in Google Reader, if I read posts, the content is followed by:
Comments: 27 Add to Facebook! Tweet it!
The links involved in this footer are hosted wordpress.com and contain “gofacebook” or “gotwitter” in their path.
How can I get rid of these links? I’d like to keep my sharing options open on the actuall wordpress.com pages, but I don’t want sharing options to appear inside of readers (which generally already support sharing by themselves).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Go to > Settings > Reading
and scroll down to these and disable them
Enhanced Feeds
Add to each article in your feed:
__Categories
__Tags
__Comment count
Changes may not appear until you create a new post or your news reader refreshes.
Then click “save changes” -

I’ll flag this so we can get Staff to respond to that.

Hi,
Thanks for your quick response. I did as you said and it did get rid of the “Comment” link, but the social media links are still there.
Regards
Vincent

They’re included based on what’s set at Settings -> Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard. There is really no way to separate the two.
