Social Media & pre-Scheduled Posts

  When scheduling posts for a future date, they do not show up on social media [facebook, twitter, google]. I check the radio buttons, but they become grayed out after I schedule and the post only shows up on WordPress when the scheduled date arrives..

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Can you let me know a few additional details?

  • Were the social networks connected to your site prior to creating the blog post?

    If you create the blog post then connect the networks, they will not be automatically connected.

  • Did you create the post from the new editor or from the classic editor? The difference is demonstrated in the URL:
    New Editor: http://wordpress.com/post

    Classic Editor: http://richfed.wordpress.com/wp-admin….

  Yes …

  1 – All 3 social media sites are connected to my blog … I have had no issue with Word Press posted to those sites when I post the blog immediately. It is only an issue when I pre-schedule a post. Before creating the post, I adjust all the settings [category, social media sites, etc.]

  2 – New Editor

  Thanks for the additional info! Could you try creating the post and scheduling it from the classic editor here?

  We previously had a bug with Publicize, scheduled posts, and the new editor, but that should’ve been cleared up. I’m interested to see if you experience success from the classic editor.

  OK – I scheduled a “test” post for today at 17:00 using the classic editor. It published everywhere, so, it does seem like an issue with the new editor.

  Thanks for the additional information. I’m really glad the classic editor worked! We’re digging into why publicize isn’t working for scheduled posts from the new editor. I’ll let you know as soon as I have more information!

  Hi @richfed,

  We just recently deployed some changes with Publicize and the new editor. Scheduled posts should now be publicized correctly. Can you give this another try?
