social media share buttons not counting shares and are gray
-
Yesterday my Twitter share button blanked out and no longer recorded the number of shares. Today, my Facebook share button did the same. Yesterday, I had 27 shares recorded on the FB counter. Also, I noticed the buttons have turned gray as well. How can I restore the share functions so they work properly?
Thank you.

Thanks for posting about this!
Our developers fixed one bug earlier where the counts weren’t showing up, so that should be good now. To make sure, I checked your latest post at http://counterwar.wordpress.com/2014/02/09/rebranded-the-emerging-corporate-socialist-8-steps-to-codifying-corporate-power-under-socialism/ and I can see 27 next to Facebook.
I don’t see a count for Twitter on your latest post, but I do see counts for Twitter on other posts like this one: http://counterwar.wordpress.com/2014/02/02/a-loaded-word-problem-for-you-america-equal-opportunity-stop-all-social-programs/
Can you try clearing your browser cache to see if that sets things back to normal for you?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesRegarding the color, that’s part of an update that was made to the sharing buttons today. If you want to use colorful icons, go to Settings > Sharing and select the “Icon only” option.
