Social Media shared counts suddenly not showing at the end of my blog posts
-
Hi WordPress Support!
Can you help me figure out what I did wrong? I noticed that suddenly my blog posts don’t show how many times it was shared on facebook, pinterest, google, etc.. I realized something was wrong when I went as far back as when Zucchini Noodles with Creamy Lime Dressing was posted which had well over 140 likes/shares on facebook! It appears as though NONE of my posts now show any counts at all! Please help me figure out what happened and how I can fix this. I changed my password too because it seemed as though one of my widgets had been deleted and then reappeared again. .
Thank you for your expertise,
LupitaThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see a Twitter link has been clicked on your latest post. The social networking icons display only the share count of the number of rimes the icon was clicked on your blog post. WordPress.com does not have access to the numbers of share that were made anywhere else such as on the social networking sites themselves.

That twitter link was a share onto my twitter page. This doesn’t make any sense. I had a lot of “counts” mostly facebook on several of my blog posts and now they are all gone!? Something changed…

Did you disable the sharing icons https://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/ and then re-enable them?
Did you change the sharing icon button style?

I didn’t disable any of my sharing icons. Would that have reset my counts?? I didn’t change the sharing icon button style either.
I hope my account wasn’t hacked! I changed my password in case it was but thanks for tagging my issue for staff to look at this!

The share counts reflect the shares that were done on the blog under a specific blog URL. So if you added domain mapping that changed the URL and the shares to the previous URL will not appear.

Please disregard this issue. I think the desktop I’m using has the issue. When I looked at my blog from my laptop, the counts are all there!!
By chance, do you know what could be the problem if the issue stems from my desktop??
Sorry for any confusion..
