Social Media Sharing
-
I asked this question the other day. It was answered by a guy who thought he knew it all but alas, he did not read my entire question, only what he wanted to read. I replied to him but he never replied back. So again, I have obviously made a mistake here on this website because I have all the sharing buttons clicked (please read this sentence). I have another website so I know how to do this. My other website also has all the sharing buttons available, which is why I know that on this website, there must be a glitch somewhere or maybe the theme I chose for my website doesn’t work with social sharing buttons? I don’t know but I want them on there. Just not on my static page. I think by taking it off the static page it has effected the posts page (? possibly). Anyway, please read all of this and look at my website before you think you know the answer. Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see you already have the sharing buttons on the individual posts and not on the home page which is the way you said you want it. The only missing part (if I understand correctly) is getting the social media buttons to appear here: https://ohiowomenshistory.wordpress.com/transformed-women-of-history/
To do that, go to Settings > Sharing and look for the “Show buttons on” section. Tick the box next to Pages and save changes.

Perhaps a staff member can sort out the problem. I’ve tagged this thread for their attention.

So, just so I’m clear, the only remaining issue is that you cannot see the buttons here:

So, I suspect that the issue is that https://ohiowomenshistory.wordpress.com/transformed-women-of-history/ is not functioning as a static page because it is set as the posts page. In order to get sharing buttons to appear there, please go here:
https://ohiowomenshistory.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=sharing
…and check the box that says “Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results” and scroll down to click “save changes”

Okay it works now. I misunderstood the front page… because my front page is my static page and I did not want sharing buttons on there. I guess it needs to be written differently so that it makes sense.
