Social Media Sharings and Automatic Pinging

  I had a WordPress blog for a year and a half and I remember that every post was automatically pinged out to major sites.

  Does that still happen?

  Also, Are notices of new comments automatically emailed to us or do we have to opt in somehow?

  Last, What’s an easy way to add Facebook & Twitter sharing links??

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  1. Yes, pings are still sent out via Ping-o-matic:

  2. Comment notification by email has to be set up in Discussion Settings:
