Social media stats count
-
Hi,
Under each of my posts previously, I used to have a number under each social media icon showing how many times it has been shared. It doesn’t show it anymore?
Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Be aware that when someone comments on one of your blog posts on Facebook, a share is not recorded on the Facebook button on your blog. The only shares recorded on your blog are those of visitors who clicked into the blog and then clicked the share icon below the post(s).
Also be aware that if your remove the Publicize app and reconnect it then it will take time for the numbers to rectify.
Have you made any recent changes to the sharing buttons on your site? (For example, did you switch between the official sharing buttons and other sharing button styles?)

Hi there,
I am seeing the share counts on your post. For example, this post: https://reflectionsofataalibah.wordpress.com/2014/12/29/usool-shaashi-aam-general/
has a share count of 2 on TwitterThis post:
https://reflectionsofataalibah.wordpress.com/2015/02/14/re-worried-about-muslims-in-the-uk-heres-the-answer-by-james-kirkup/
has a share count of 1 on FacebookIs there are particular post where you feel that count is off?

Hi Zainab,
I have located the cause of the share count reset. Facebook and Twitter count views from the secure (https) version of your site differently than those from standard http. To help keep our user’s data safe we now force sites using the WordPress.com subdomain to be viewed over https.
This unfortunately has reset your share count. It is possible that in the future Facebook and Twitter will update the way they count shares. However, until that happens their is nothing that can be done on our end.
