Social Media/Sharing Blog Description

I wrote my first (personally) professional blog on a new site address on my account last week. When I shared it, it came up with a very professional link with the description to the blog, including the featured blog image and link. It read perfectly as an overview of the article summary before you had to read further on once clicking the link. Yesterday I created a for-fun post on my original site on here with all of the same settings, description specifics for it, etc. as the first shared link, shared through the social post option on here, both on facebook and twitter. While the shared post brings up an appropriate link, the description within the link only shows the names of 2 documents that I am attempting to include with it, a DOC and an XLS. I thought that perhaps if I just made the DOC just text (which I should have originally), it would fix the issue and give the descriptive parts of the share with the beginning of the text showing on the shared image on facebook. Even when manually sharing the link instead, it didn’t change things. I really want to fix this so I can have the same presentation and figure out how to make it show for every new blog I make. I also can’t seem to get only my account image and not the featured image attached to it to show when it’s posted. I have even attempted twice to delete and repost it, once on my original post (linked below) and even the new site I had just made last week, but it still had the same result, no matter how much I trashed and restarted it. It really comes down to sharing, but I don’t know what to do. I’ve spent a long time troubleshooting this by myself and through help and don’t know where else to go.

The link that worked correctly for me is:
    https://apassionateamerican.wordpress.com/2017/06/20/modern-parenting-in-the-united-states-has-placed-our-children-in-a-terroristic-lifestyle

This looks great to me, just as I expected.

The one that does not do what I want, no matter how many times I adjust it is: https://whatsosticky.wordpress.com/2017/06/21/the-quarter-garden (it just shows ‘The Quarter Garden! The Quarter Garden Master Sheet!’ in the image link when shared.)

Anyone have any insight? I have a feeling the answer is right in front of me, but I’ve exhausted myself trying to find it! Thank you!!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi apassionateamerican!
As I take a closer look to your links you share, the first link you provide as you update is absolutely fine, so on the other links https://whatsosticky.wordpress.com/2017/06/21/the-quarter-garden

I don’t see the Sharing button of Facebook and Twitter at all.
Could you configure the sharing buttons, one’s you do that, I can try and share it.
Also, here is the guide to set help you set it up Sharing
Also, your first link which gets shared the correct Picture does not come up, here is a guide to help you How Facebook accepts the image as well as ideal sizes of images Facebook Thumbnail Images

Try to use the guides and share them, let me know how it goes, would be happy to assist you further…!

I went and added the buttons to the post. Somewhere along the line I obviously never saved the options I made the first time around, so thank you.

I adjusted the size of my fb feature image to fit requirements, but if I put them at just exactly what they need to be, it still doesn’t show and if I go a little larger (and I mean little), that’s all you see. When I attempt to share, I still get an inaccurate description on my post.

I also only get the edit screen when I click the post unless I hit “preview” on either blog post and not the page itself through the main blog address.) I adjusted the feature image to meet fb guidelines and that still doesn’t work either, which is a mystery as I’ve never figured that out in the many years I’ve sparingly used this site.

I’m sorry for the hassle. If you can help further, I’d appreciate it!

I got it to go as the middle image finally! it seems that a large issue was that feature image and how it was affecting the presentation, but I’m not going to give in and say that was or is always the problem.

Thank you so much! You relieved a lot of frustration for me!
