SOCIAL PLATFORM UPDATES FROM BLOGS, A SNAG! WHY?
-
When sharing an updated page or post, but specifically pages on any of the social platforms (Facebook, Twitter etc), the generated context that goes with the post does not automatically change to reflect the latest addition, usually on top of the page. Why is this? For example, on my blog (aicontact.wordpress.com), I always update one page (Matters Eastern Cape) almost daily and share seek to share such updates, but the engine does not update the content so that Facebook, Twitter or such other social platform can see fresh content. Instead, it reflects old ‘top’ content. why is this?

These social networks take a snapshot when a post is shared and cache this on their servers. Therefore the content is not updated until you share a link again.
Facebook has a debug tool where enter your can enter a link so it regenerates the title, text, thumbnail information: http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
