Software and pluggin maintenance

  I’m trying to compare getting a paid site on WordPress.com versus a service hosted elsewhere. If I am on WordPress.com, do I still need to do software and plugin upgrades or is that taken care of?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Taken care of – but keep in mind that you can’t use Plugin’s here. But there are a pile of Widgets and Short Codes to make up for no Plugin’s
