software for creating maps to add to the site

    Can you recommend a program for making (geography) maps that can be added to my site. I want to be able to take an existing map and annotate and mark it; and then include it on the site. I figure people must do this sort of thing pretty regularly. I’m using a Mac.

    They do, but they can’t upload those maps on Wp.com since they contain insecure elements. Some people use various Google Map facilities and then make a jpg of the map and upload that.
