  Can you tell me how we are advised that there is a WordPress software update? Do we receive an email?

  Hi there,

  Wordpress.com updates automatically when it comes to security updates and other minor fixes. However, larger updates like layout updates usually do come with an email and if not, it will be visible on your dashboard when you log in.

  Please be advised that WordPress.com is a managed host, so we take care of WordPress updates, including some for themes/plugins.
