Soho Theme – Key Words

  There doesn’t seem to be a section in this theme to add key words or tags. How do I make my site visible to search engines?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey @julieehurst!

  You can add tags to posts in the edit post section. In your admin area, in the sidebar, go to Posts -> All Posts. When you get to this page, you can choose to edit a post which will take you to the Edit Post screen. On the right side under the Publish, Format, and Categories will be the Tags box. You can add tags to the post in this fashion. There are also other ways of adding tags.

  In reference to your search engine question, on your admin dashboard go to Settings -> Reading. Scroll down to “Site Visibility” and select “Allow search engines to index this site”.

  Hi there jsas5, thank you for your reply/post!

  My site is a website rather than a blog, so I have static pages rather than posts. I’ve checked my “Reading’ settings and the Site Visibility is set to the option you suggested.

  How will search engines pick up the nature of my site/business, location etc if there is no means to add the relevant keywords to the site/pages?
