• Hi there,

I’m not sure that I understood your question. This is an error message you are seeing on your site somehow? If so can you share a URL to the location you see this so we can take a closer look? You can also upload a screenshot directly to this post so we can see what you see.

Thanks for the additional info!

My site name is chukumasi.com.

Google and bing is not indexing as it is saying, redirect in url.

The http response is,

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Server: nginx
Date: Fri, 22 Sep 2023 03:24:47 GMT
Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
Transfer-Encoding: chunked
Connection: keep-alive
Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=31536000
Vary: Accept-Encoding
X-hacker: Want root? Visit join.a8c.com/hacker and mention this header.
Host-Header: WordPress.com

Link: <https://wp.me/f8xDQ>; rel=shortlink
Vary: accept, content-type, cookie
Content-Encoding: br
X-ac: 3.dca _dfw EXPIRED
X-Google-Crawl-Date: Fri, 22 Sep 2023 03:24:47 GMT

Now, contacted customer care, they said that I have to go to SFTP and change the code or something ( which I don’t know)

tried to resolve it, but WordPress is saying have to buy business plan(present plan)

I think, this is intentional by WordPress to forcefully get business plan purchased, as Automaatic is associated with WP.

Isn’t it unethical

please remove from header

• Hey there,

Many thanks for reaching back out.

Are you able to copy and paste the full error from Google please. The HTTP, header would not be related to this – as the site itself is not redirecting.

Many thanks in advance! I’m confident we can help

ok, but please remove this, as it is unwanted

Hi there! 👋🏼

ok, but please remove this, as it is unwanted

As @aleone89 suggested, please provide us with the error you got from Google, as it will help us identify any issues. The domain is not redirecting anywhere and shows your WordPress.com site.

Speaking of removing this header — as you earlier mentioned,

[…] tried to resolve it, but WordPress is saying have to buy business plan(present plan) […]

Yes — removing this header is impossible on free, Personal, and Premium plans because they can’t access plugins.

Removing this header can be achieved with the Redirection plugin, which allows (some) header modifications: https://wordpress.com/plugins/redirection.

This header has been around for a while with all sites hosted on WordPress.com, and it’s nothing new.

💡 Having any custom headers does not impact your site speed, performance, SEO, etc. in any way. You can even create a custom header named potato and set the value to fried — nothing will change with your site, and search engines will ignore it as it’s irrelevant to your site functionality and SEO.

BUT, WHY? YOU PEOPLE, INSERTED THIS HEADER, ITS NOTHING NEW DOESN’T JUSTIFY THIS. I HAVE PAID FOR PERSONAL PLAN. AND ITS NOT WRITTEN ANYWHERE, THAT THIS ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE PART OF MY HEADER.

ITS UTTERLY UNPROFESSIONAL, REMOVE IT

• Hi @sinhachetu, do your site visitors usually read your technical headers? It’s just a message encouraging technical people to apply here. Most people don’t view them. Also to clarify, it’s not about actual “hackers” but computer programmers. And, this will not cause any redirects.

Google and bing is not indexing as it is saying, redirect in url.

Can you share what URLs are giving you that indexing error? We can likely spot the cause.

REMOVE, NO ROUNDABOUT JUSTIFICATION

• Unknown's avatar

I checked and Google has already visited your site. But as your site is only about a week old, it’s normal Google hasn’t full indexed your site. It can take up to several weeks sometimes months before they crawl your site. You find more info at https://en.support.wordpress.com/seo/

FYI: search engines have allways indexed my wordpress.com sites despite that line in the header

• Unknown's avatar

I also checked Bing and it has indexed your site giving 116 results. So that line in the technical header isn’t preventing search engines to index your site.

• @sinhachetu the header cannot be removed; it is not causing any redirect issues either or all of our customers would see the same problem.

We would be happy to try to resolve the redirect issue if you’d like to continue. Thanks!

why this is showing

• Unknown's avatar

This about only 1 page. Unfortunately we can’t see which page as it doesn’t show on your screenshot …

• Unknown's avatar

Thank you for the screenshot!

Looking at your screenshot, it is unclear which URL this refers to specifically.

Please provide us with as many details as possible.

• Unknown's avatar

it is

http://chukumasi.com/

https://chukumasi.com/

htts://www.chukumasi.com/

How to get rid of this?

• Unknown's avatar

There is no need to get rid of these links. They all redirect to your site http://chukumasi.com/ and have no influence on whether search engines index your site.

• In addition to what @staartmees mentioned, search engines will not index domains that only redirect to another domain since there is no site there. If you want each of these domains indexed on Google you would need to create a site for each domain.

Can you clarify what you are looking to do with these domains? Thanks!
