Solve error on homepage

  Deleted the “hello world” welcoming page and now the URL http://ikwordgenaaid.wordpress.com/ gives an error remark. Want to set the current page under the tab “home” as my homepage. Unfortunately I can’t edit the URL from that page to http://ikwordgenaaid.wordpress.com/. What to do?

  The reason you’re seeing that message on your home page is because you haven’t published any posts yet. By default, your home page is also your posts page.

  If you’d like to set a static front page for your site, you can do so by following this guide:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/front-page

  Hi evarlese,

  Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I can’t do much with it since I have published stuff. Eventhough I only wrote one line on my 1.Home page, the status of the page is published. As is the case with the other pages. Check it out, click on the tab 1.home and you’ll see what I mean. But when I go to http://ikwordgenaaid.wordpress.com/ I get an error message.

  Maybe I’m wrong, but some more help would be very welcome :0)!

  You have published a page, but not a post.

  Only published posts will appear on the front page unless you assign a different front page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
