Some additional statistics. Pretty please.

“how’s my blog doing?” is one of the most common questions for any blogger.
With that established, here’s a graph I’d love to see. It could be created either weekly or monthly. It does not need to be created daily (though that too would be interesting)
Calculate the average daily reads of all WordPress blogs… then plot the distribution chart of all those results… I suspect it’ll be a Skewed to the left Normal dist with a looooonnnnggggg tail to the right.
And/or… on a weekly basis… tally up all the reads on each blog and simply do a weekly ranking.
As it stands? I have no idea what level of success I’m achieving…
YES I KNOW!!! #reads != success
but… I’m still curious. /grin

Actually, in my mind
regular and informed comments != success
Reads? People dropping in from search engines, looking for porn.

At the top of my stats page I find these three links Days Weeks Months . These numbers pertain to my own blog and frankly I could care less about what the stats are for the over 1 million other wordpress.com blogs. The numbers would have no relevance to my way of thinking because there are many categories of blogs and the comparison of apples to oranges would not be helpful. In other words, IMO staff time would be better spent elsewhere rather than on what you are suggesting. But perhaps others feel differently.
@C
Thanks for the first chuckle of my day. :)
