Some can't read blog

    Hi all! I’ve just had a complain from one person that they can’t read my blog because of ‘the blue background’ – but I don’t see print on a blue background when I look at my site. Is there something about the theme I am using that can make it hard to read the blog on certain kinds of screen? Or is there a problem with one reader’s machine?

    Hi Chris, it’s hard to guess at what your reader might be seeing, so I’d suggest that they let you know:

    – what specific device they’re using (i.e. Nexus 7, Macbook Air)
    – what operating system version they’re using (i.e. Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, OS 10.9.5)
    – what browser and version they’re using (i.e. Firefox 37.0.2)

    They can visit http://supportdetails.com/ if they’re not sure about any of the above.

    Could you also ask them to take a screenshot of what they’re seeing, and also provide a link to the page they’re on when they take the screenshot.

    They can then upload the screenshot with a service like Imgur or Snaggy and provide a link to it.

    Hi kathrynwp, thanks for coming back on this. That sounds a complicated assignment, but I’ll try her in the morning. In the meantime, here is her description from a subsequent email:
    “If I use the desk top computer (I prefer this for reading larger blocks of text) then the blog page shows as a blue background with brown writing. The top of the page (about an inch) is white. This is quite hard to read. “
    I’ve changed the sidebar colour to a lighter tone tonight in the hope that this helps her pro tem, but I’ll try to get her to do a screenshot.

    Since your site has grey text on a white background it will be definitely interesting to get some details about her setup and a screenshot. Let me know if you can get that from her so we can investigate further.
