Some Categories Not Showing Up in Block Editor

    There are a handful of categories on my site which already have 100s of entries (so I know the problem isn’t because the categories are empty). However, when creating a new post in the block editor, for some reason, these categories are missing from the Categories tab, and I cannot assign new posts to these categories. Even when I create new categories with the same name, and give them a different parent category, the new categories do not show up. As if the given category names are blocked or something???
