I thought the domain lwvjoco.org belonged to us, but I think I was wrong. I thought I had it registered with wordpress.com, but i am informed that it isn’t. I want to get access to my content.
Can you help me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We cannot help you here at all. We only provide support for blogs being hosted by WordPress.com. If you did not register your domain through WordPress.com you need to contact the Registrar for that domain.

Well, i paid $12 to have my blog registered through wordpress.com. If you are telling me that you can’t give me my content back, at least have the decency to refund my money.
the blog is/was http://www.lwvjoco.wordpress.com
I would really appreciate some help instead of the scarcsm. The blog is still listed on my wordpress.com lisst of blogs

Before we go any further: WordPress.com employees are clearly identified as “staff” on these forums. timethief and I are only “members” who, like many others, help here when we can or direct people to the right resources. If you prefer to deal with staff directly, click here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
This being said: no one’s questioning the fact that http://lwvjoco.wordpress.com is hosted by WordPress.com. timethief’s response was surely referring to what you stated above: that your domain name is lwvjoco.org. According to http://who.is/whois/lwvjoco.org , that domain does not appear to be registered through WordPress.com at all. Are you talking about another domain name perhaps?

That domain does not appear to be registered through WordPress.com at all, but with a company called eNom.
You may have bought a $12 upgrade from WordPress.com but you still need to update the nameservers on your domain name registrar (on eNom) in order for your site to appear when one types lwvjoco.org. Here are the instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/P.S. If you see this answer in duplicate, sorry.

Since the domain name, lwvjoco.org , was not registered through wordpress.com, there is nothing wordpress can do about that. Apparently that domain is registered through ENOM.
The $12 was to map that domain name to your site here. There is a 30 day money back guarantee on that.
Did you create http://lwvjoco.wordpress.com/ here? Is that a site that you started?

We are not “support people” for wordpress. We voluntarily answer questions here to help out fellow bloggers. Staff members will have a rounded panel around their information at left of a post here in the forum with something like “staff” or “support” or “theme team” or something like that instead of “member.”

lwvjoco.wordpress.com was created using wordpress and started here, as in wordpress
It looks like it will take some time to get lwvjoco.org released from paracom internet services.
In the interim, is it possible to get access to the content and switch things back so that i can use lwvjoco.wordpress.com again?
-
To log into lwvjoco.wordpress.com , then you should go to http://lwvjoco.wordpress.com/wp-login.php , use the original username that was used with it was set up and enter the password.
-
Also this thread has been tagged for staff attention so hopefully they will respond soon.
-
It looks like you already have your primary domain set back to http://lwvjoco.wordpress.com/
Since your domain mapping is good through January 11 of 2013, it should start functioning again once you are able to recover your domain from your registrar.
