Some Expound Widget Titles left empty on set-up show Widget Name anyhow
-
I have five widgets set up on my Expound theme blog: Search, Categories, Twitter Timeline, Flickr and Meta. When I added each one to the sidebar, I made sure the Title field blank before clicking Save.
Search, Twitter Timeline and Flickr properly appear without a Title.
But for some reason Categories and Meta still have Titles. I would strongly prefer just to see the “Select Category” drop box without the word “Categories” above it and then the Meta functions without the word “Meta” above them.
I have tried deleting and re-adding these two problem widgets, logging off WordPress and logging back on, etc.
Is there anything else I can do or am I stuck with these unwanted Titles?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I wonder what is going on. I’ve just signed back onto my home computer after being in another room for a couple of hours and 3 out of 5 widgets have vanished completely and the other 2 have different titles and formats. I’m completely baffled, as I’m the only one in the family to use this computer. Will go try to re-add the missing 3.

OK – had re-added the missing three widgets to the sidebar. Still have the exact same formatting problem described in my first post.
I appears that what happened is my widget structure reverted to what it was before I changed to a new theme yesterday. My missing widgets were part of other sidebars in the twenty ten theme and they’re now attached to an inactive sidebar, just like they were yesterday when I changed themes. I hope this isn’t a recurring instability.

OK – I tried one more thing…I actually typed a space into the Title for the two widgets mentioned as problems in my first post and now they have no title showing on my blog page.
Anyhow, I seem to have fixed my own problem. Sorry if you spent any time on it.
