Some followers are complaining that the like button isn’t on my posts

Some followers are complaining that the like button isn’t on my posts, yet I’m still getting likes, altough in greatly reduced numbers. When I loook at one of my posts, I see the like button there.

I’m told by my followers that the problem is on other blogs too.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I checked a few of your recent posts, and the Like button is working fine on all of them for me as well. So I don’t see any problems on your site.

I’m told by my followers that the problem is on other blogs too.

If that’s the case, the problem is with the follower, not your site. If they’re viewing your (and other) sites while logged out, or if they’re blocking the browser cookies we use to detect that they’re logged in, they won’t see the button, as it’s only available to logged-in visitors.

Or if they have JavaScript disabled in their browser, or if they’re using a browser add-on that blocks JavaScript code, they also won’t see the button, as the button requires JavaScript to work.

So please ask the followers complaining about this to check those things, and to contact WordPress.com support directly if that doesn’t help, so we can troubleshoot the issue with them directly.
