Some Frustration

  Hello. I am a brand new member here on WordPress and struggling to try and figure out what I am doing. I went to images to find out how to insert a simple image into a blog, and the 2 minute video is not working! I uploaded an image (but do not understand where this image is on the WordPress server so I can create a path in HTML). For example, where is the image I just uploaded?

  This is what WordPress says I have to do. Using the editor in HTML, use the following:

  <img src=”http://yourblog.files.wordpress.com/2006/07/image.jpg alt=”image” />

  Let’s call the image I have xyz.jpg, so substituting my blogsite, would it be? I just want to insert a simple picture from my computer into my blog text…

  <img src=”http://jimc52.files.wordpress.com/xyz.jpg alt=”image” />

  Is having /2006/2007 of any relevance or is that just for example?

  So far, I am not getting anywhere with this…and feeling immediately frustrated.

  I wish there was a simple tutorial here to follow! I am talking, really simple!
  I can’t spend the next 6 months trying to be a CSS Guru, so if you have a site
  that gives a really simple visual how to, I would also appreciate knowing this.

  Your questions have been answered over and over in the Support forum for the past week, btw. Look for posts that have images and uploads in the Subject.
