Just to clarify things, there are three different versions of “WordPress” that you should be aware of:
- The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
- WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
- WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.
The lostgringo01.wordpress.com site is a free WordPress site hosted on our platform, WordPress.com. On the other hand, the site lostgringo.com is utilizing the WordPress software with Hostinger, a different hosting provider.
If you are unable to log into your lostgringo.com site, I recommend reaching out to Hostinger for assistance with this issue. Since they are hosting your site’s files, they have the necessary access and expertise to help you regain access to your site.

yes but how do i get to login portal. it was always a word press login portal. and i would go to this web address: http://lostgringo.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Flostgringo.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1
now my credentials don’t work? it seems like it is word press credentials. at least that is how the portal is branded… please help…dave
