some html codes are removed on entry

    I wrote an entry in html mode, I use a table to show background for this entry with code : <table background="http://mypicture/bg.jpg"><tr><td> contents</td></tr></table> I changed to visual mode it showed very good but after posted, it was removed background attribute so the background hasn’t showed :((, please help me !

    It’s possible that site doesn’t allow hotlinking.

    Also, if you’re writing in HTML mode, it’s never a good idea to switch to Visual mode. It has a tendency to strip code that is actually permitted. Just use the Preview to see how it looks. If you switch to Visual, you have to paste the code back in.

    You might try replacing

    background="http://mypicture/bg.jpg"

    with the following inline CSS and see what happens

    style=”background-image:url(‘http://mypicture/bg.jpg’);”`

    First off, don’t hijack threads with off-topic questions. It causes confusion.

    Go to users > personal settings and make sure that the visual editor is enabled. Make sure and click save after making the change.
