Some invitees unable to register/log in – help!

Some people I’ve invited using the “invite form” are just unable to get in. I’m new at this and totally clueless. Others get in with no problem. Unable to re-send invitations because one has already been sent. Please, is someone able to give me some pointers? Many thanks!

An important thing to know is that whichever email address you use for your “invitees” must be the same email address they use to register with wordpress.com or they will not be able to access your blog.
You have all the email addresses of those you sent invitations to. Please confirm with them that they used the identical email address when they registered usernames at wordpress.com.
If you confirm with them and they still cannot access your blog tomorrow then please do not post that private information here. Support hours are Mondays-Fridays 8-4PM, Pacific time and you can use this link to report the problem to staff http://wordpress.com/contact-support/

Ask the people to go to http://wordpress.com
They need to register for at least an account though they can have a blog if they want of course.
When they have registered, tell them to tell you the email address they use.Then go to the Users page in your blog and add them.
Or the Options > Privacy page if that is what you needed. -

You can’t prevent anyone who knows your wordpress.com registered email address from sending you an invitation. However, like any invitation you can choose not to accept. Please read these more greater clarity http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/17/how-do-i-add-more-authors-users-to-my-blog/

They don’t help, I didn’t get an invitation, I got an announcement. I didn’t accept anything. Do I need to change my email address at wordpress?

Have you contacted the blogger who did this and asked to have your name removed? It does seem to be the most logical and expeditious way to go.
Every time you leave a comment on a wordpress.com blog, when you are signed in to wordpress.com, the email address that you provided when you registered with wordpress.com is on the comment and the blog administrator wherever you left the comment can see it. You may change it on the Options page but doing so will not change the fact that when you are signed in and leave a comment the blog administrator will have it.
