Some of my pages stopped autoplaying my YouTube videos
-
Hi there,
Suddenly some of the videos that I have set to autoplay on my site have stopped autoplaying. Some of them still work.
The site is: http://www.geoffnatesblog16.wordpress.com
Here is the code for the video that DOES autoplay:
[gigya src="https://www.youtube.com/v/EzjXB4knxqM" flashvars="autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="5" height="5"]
Here is the code for the video that does NOT autoplay:
[gigya src="https://www.youtube.com/v/SDI_iMIme88&feature=youtu.be" flashvars="autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="30" height="15"]
Please help! Thanks!

What are the URLs of the exact pages or posts on your blog that you are referring to please?

I get autoplay music when I click both links so I assume you have a browser related issue.
Please provide this info:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond. Hi @jeffnatesblog, actually we don’t support auto-play for Youtube videos, but you can see the shortcodes we do support here:

sorry, that sounds a bit confusing lol try this:
[gigya src="https://www.youtube.com/v/SDI_iMIme88" flashvars="autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="5" height="5"]

Wow marahvcc, that worked! Thank you.
OK, but here’s the thing. I have many different blogs with many pages where this is a problem. From what I can tell, the only change made to the original code here was the removal of the “&feature=youtu.be”
I would love for that to be a one-stop-shop fix for them all, but unfortunately many of the other codes for videos don’t even contain “&feature=youtu.be”… So I think I need to better understand what you originally meant by “just use the second video url in the first code.”
(Man, I really need to take a WordPress class.)
Thanks in advance.

I figured it out… and it makes no sense to me, but it works.
I simply changed all of the height/widths to 5s. Meaning… “true” width=”5″ height=”5″
Thanks for all of the help.
