Some of my testimonials not appearing

    I have about 5 testimonials on my site, yet only the most recent 3 show up. I’ve no idea why the other 2 aren’t also displaying. My testimonials are set to er… ‘rotate’ on my homepage. So as you stay on the homepage, you can see one testimonial at a time appear, then fade, then a new one appears. But it’s only rotating between the most recent 3….never showing the other 2 testimonials. thanks to anybody out there kind enough to reply

    Hi,

    All of your testimonials are displayed on the “dedicated” testimonials page, https://lynnsnycsupperclub.com/testimonial/. The front page evidently displays only three on the theme that you are presently using. Which theme is it? The corresponding WordPress.com theme guide will probably tell you how many will may be displayed on the front page, how they are selected, and options (if any) regarding which are selected to display there.

    thanks…someone else set up my WP site for me and now I have the task of trying to manage the page from hereon out and also make necessary adjustments.

    as to ‘theme’, if I am looking in the right spot it appears to be Canape. I then clicked on Customize but see nothing about adjusting number of testimonials that appear. Also clicked on Testimonials section in multiple spots…tried Edit…tried Customize….also went to CSS section….nowhere am I seeing anything that indicates how many Testimonials are to display/rotate on home page

    The Testimonials section of the Canape theme guide says:

    Canapé features Testimonials in two ways:

    • The dedicated testimonial archive page displays all testimonials in reverse chronological order, with the newest displayed first. Your testimonial archive page can be found at http://yourgroovysite.wordpress.com/testimonial/
    • The Front Page displays three newest testimonials.

    To add a testimonial, go to Testimonials → Add New in your dashboard. Testimonials are composed of the testimonial text, and the name of the customer (added as testimonial title).

    It doesn’t mention any options for choosing other testimonials instead. Other themes may display a different number of testimonials on the front page, or on a page with the front page template assigned, select them differently (by default), and offer an alternative in which you may select which testimonials are displayed. The Testimonials section of the Sela theme guide, for example, says:

    • The Front Page Template displays the oldest two testimonials. If you prefer to select which two testimonials are displayed on the homepage, add the numbers 0 or 1 to the Order field in the Page Attributes box on the testimonial edit screen, and ensure all other Testimonials have an Order number of greater than 1.
