I also use Vivo, live in Belém do Pará. So it’s not only SP.

No images for the last 3-4 days. No ability to post a new article. And paying an annuity has (I think) nothing to do with it. One of my blogs is paid, the others are free blogs. No difference.

NOTE: When bloggers keep bumping any thread thinking they are going to get service from Staff more quickly they aren’t thinking straight because that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response. The same is true if you email more than once the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.

Sempre que utilizei VIVO tive problemas, principalmente na época dos CDMA e com suas promoções enganosas.

Agora por infelicidade me tornei cliente deles por tabela quando compraram a telefônica e nem demorou para começar a avacalhar o serviço de internet:

I agree with @samuelgfonseco. With a discussion between us we don’t frustrate the work of WP. It’s interesting to hear the experiences of other users and victims of this problem.
At the other hand, it’s useless to threaten the staff of WP with or wthout Facebook. For me they always came up with a solution when I had a problem and quick at that. So stop complaining and just discuss experiences. They are of interest to all of us.
Let the Wp staff work in peace, I’m sure they give us full attention.

That’s right. What fears me most, however, is if the problem laid all in VIVO ISP. I can only hope for the best.

@samuelgfonseca. Yes, that’s a real worry. When you walk through the comments, you only are met with the name Vivo. I bought a Vivo 20Gb box a year ago. I live somewhere in the Amazon delta and don’t have a cable or similar. It worked perfectly and fast. Up till some weeks ago, it’s slower and slower, interrupting frequently. It’s becoming a crime.
Having said that, I have (unfortunately) the feeling that Brazil (institutions, communication, water, energy etc) is falling apart, where it should have been improved over the years. Since the World Cup (almost) nothing is working properly anymore.
I don’t know how it’s in the South, but here up North, it’s getting worse and worse. It doesn’t abide very good for us in regard to Vivo.

It’s even worse. Only the WP-blogs are without images. Why only WP. Is there some vendetta going on between Vivo and WP? It might take some time indeed.

Yes, it might be, but Vivo could have repaired the damage after 6 days, couldn’t they? And, it might be (BBC). Have you read something in O Globo or any other Bra newspaper/radio/tv?? I haven’t heard anything about it before.

For my tests, I came to the conclusion that VIVO is blocking some file servers that belong to WordPress.

I think some configuration of the VIVO servers, resulting in this bug.

The problem is that the configuration of VIVO was good for something.
Then they will have to find a way to do the same thing without causing unnecessary blockages.

and may take a few days.

it’s just what I think, I’m not 100% sure.
