Some pics not displaying on main blog page

  Hi, I recently activated the new theme “oxygen”. Everything looks great except for some of my posts, the photos don’t appear on the home page. Here are 2 examples:

  As you can see, the images appear fine in the actual post. But the excerpts on the main page show a blank box. I’ve never had this problem before. Can you let me know if I’m doing something incorrect?

  Hi there, there are two separate issues with both of the posts you mention.

  The “Cocoa or Cacao” post is the easiest to fix. Oxygen will either display a featured image or the first image attached to that post. The “Coco or Cacao” post has neither, so that’s why you are seeing a placeholder on the front page. The image appears in the post, but it’s not attached to that post. You can fix this by re-uploading the chocolate image to that post.

  As for the “Miso Soup” post, it looks like that image on the front page is corrupted, because it’s not even displaying properly in the Media Library. Since it’s the first attachment uploaded to that post, that’s the image Oxygen tries to display on the front page. It’s actually not the same file as the one that appears inside the post. I suggest the following steps: 1) open the “Miso Soup” post for editing; 2) Click on “Add Media”; 3) Click on “Media Library” and then select “Uploaded to this Post” from the drop-down; 3) there will be 3 images, one of them greyed out. You should select that grey one, and then click “Delete Permanently” under “Attachment Details” on the right.
