Some posts not showing in reader

  Hi I have been publishing posts recently with publish dates as long ago as 2 years, as this is when the event took place. When I search a relevant tag in reader my post is not in the results. However I do have posts as old as 4 years that do still present in the results. I cannot work out why some of my posts cannot be found under their tags, I never use more than about half a dozen. Thanks for the help
