Some problems about the CSS function of premium plan
-
I have just started using wordpress. I would like to make the content layer (I don’t know how to describe it, the gray one in the middle with content) wider. That is the content occupying more space.
Is the CSS edit function suitable for me?
If yes, how can I make it?I have almost no ideas on html, php and CSS. Hope it will be easy.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @mkkcamera
It sounds like you are referring to the main content area of your site, in which you can try the following block of code, entered into the CSS tab of your site customizer here: https://wordpress.com/customize
Here is the code to paste in:
#main, #content { width: 960px; }If you like you can tweak that width value (960px) to find what works for you.
One thing to note though, as @galois points out, is that while you will be able to preview the above code in the Customize, to save and publish the change to your site you will need the Custom Design upgrade, which is part of the WordPress.com Premium plan.
You can see what features are included in our WordPress.comPremium plan, as well as compare with our other plans here: https://wordpress.com/plans/compare
Cheers!
