Some questions about domain redirecting.
-
I used to have a wordpress.com blog at http://ranpha.wordpress.com but has now moved it to a wordpress self-hosted blog at http://nunnally.ahmygoddess.net
Everything went smoothly, and I have managed to move all my wordpress.com posts and pages to the new blog, and after paying for domain redirection (10 credits), all my visitors who are expecting to load the wordpress.com address has been smoothly redirected to the new address. But I do have some questions to ask:-
If I delete posts in my wordpress.com blog. for example http://ranpha.wordpress.com/2008/08/07/review-avatar-the-last-airbender/ which now redirected to http://nunnally.ahmygoddess.net/2008/08/07/review-avatar-the-last-airbender/, if people try to load the first link, will they still be redirected to the new blog in the second link?
Another question, is there any way for me to close (but not delete) the old blog? because from the stats, I can still see some people being able to access posts in the old blog. Plus, I can already see some duplicates in search engine searches as illustrated in http://8aietq.bay.livefilestore.com/y1pp9tFLieAXyahr0_Xa3L5n-BtotlrTuABJeH30WJyy4yHFUiCdymTDOLHfWWWA8NySeG0W1TeUjiLHtyH2krzEA/google.jpg
Thanks.
