Somehow able to download deleted file from media library

  I assume I am missing something obvious but I just can’t see it. I updated a file and deleted the old one, but my stats show that people are downloading the old one (as well as the new one).

  When I click on the link to the old file in my “File Downloads” stats page, the file downloads. Yet when I check my media library, the file is not there.

  The old (deleted) file is 2024/11/a-companion-anthology.pdf
  The new file is 2024/12/a-companion-anthology.pdf

  I’m stumped.

  https://rickbatemanlinks.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/a-companion-anthology.pdf gives me a 404 – Not found. You are “downloading” the file stored in your browser cache.

  Thanks for checking. I tested by using the browser on my XBOX and also got a 404.
