Someone accessed my account recently

    I recently started getting emails from wordpress again and found out that someone has used my account to create a new site. I have since relogged in, changed my password, and deleted said site. I just wanted to verify that my account is secure and that there has been and will no longer have any unauthorized usage. Thank you

    Here are some next steps to secure your account.

    – When you change your password, choose a strong one. Often, this happens because a password used on WordPress.com was also used on another site that had its email/password pairs leaked. If you use this password anywhere else, consider changing those too.

    – Consider setting up two-step authentication. This can be set up so that you’re texted or notified via the WordPress app every time there’s an attempted login.
