Someone breaking into my account

Is there a way to find out who tried to access my account and tried to change my password? This is very important and might be a life and death situation.

This is not possible, no. All someone needs to know to attempt a password reset is your email address or username. The password reset form doesn’t capture any other data.
If you believe someone else has attempted to reset your password, please change both your WordPress.com and email passwords immediately, and consider activating two step authentication on both accounts to add yet another layer of security.

I’m not worried about them actually breaking in. I just need confirmation of whom is attempting to break in, for court. This person is stalking me and has threatened my family members’ lives. The more evidence I have against this person the better.

I understand. Unfortunately there is no way to tell who is trying to reset a password, for the reasons I stated above.
