Help! Someone has deleted my blog oxtoncricket.wordpress.com
How can I recover it?

The authors have deleted this site”.I’m pretty sure you can’t. Deleting a WordPress.com site is permanent and it also means that address cannot be used again either in the immediate future (at least two years). Did you have more than one admin on the site?
Did you ever take any .xml backups of the site with which to recover the data?You may be able to recover some of the content if you visit the cache at the Wayback Machine.

Thanks. Really helpful that. At least I can get some of the content back.
Do you know if there’s a way that I can find out who did this? As far as I remember I was the only admin user……

WordPress.com recommend having just one admin for this very reason. Editors can also delete posts and pages but I don’t think they can actually delete a whole site.

Only staff can view the “backend” of a site and could probably give you the username that deleted https://oxtoncricket.wordpress.com/ . If you’re positive that it wasn’t you who deleted the site and wish someone to investigate further then return to this thread and type modlook in the tag box to the right for staff intervention.
