Someone else uses my blog site

  I seem to get these totally unrelated comments to my blog fairly regularly. It seems someone else is using my blog address. Any ideas how this can happen and how to fix it?

  Can you let us know what the URL is of the site where you’re having this problem and some examples or screenshots of “unrelated” comments you’re seeing? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

  This is an example link of a comment that appeared on my blog. This is about photography and my blog is a stock analysis blog. I have never contacted this other blog. I have been getting these in clumps. I use to get a lot then they disappeared so I assumed it was fixed. They just started to come again. Thanks

  It sounds like this user is spamming the comment section of your blog. If you notice this is beginning to happen frequently, I would recommend setting up your site for comment moderation.

  You have complete control over whether or not comments end up on your blog if you set it where comments need to be reviewed before they are published. This approval process makes sure no comment is visible on your site without your approval. To set up comment approval, please take a look at our support page:

  Also, Akismet is our spam filter that automatically spam comments for you. Normally, they will pick up any comments that are spammy, but if you spam the user’s comments enough, Akismet will eventually catch on.

  I do have the approval set up and I reject them. They seem like legit comments just irrelevant to my blog. I will try labeling them as spam and see if that helps.
