Someone following your blog
-
My followers receive an email when I put up a new post. Instead Id like to send them weekly emails, that I actually write. how do I do that??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
That’s not accurate. Your followers choose exactly how often they wish to receive your posts by email – instantly, never, weekly, daily

There is no means of automatically email spamming those who provided an email address only for the purpose of receiving your blog posts and for no other reason. I live in Canada where using an email address for any purpose other than what it was specifically provided for is illegal.
Yes. You can set up a customized contact form http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ on a static page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ or in a text widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ and above that form you can clearly state that you are asking for those who wish to have their email address “captured” to use it. Then you can email them with their permission.

Can I least have it so that they can’t see my whole blog post? I’d like them to actually come onto my site.

Like I don’t get why I can’t send emails to them? Food babe does. http://Www.foodbabe.com
Here is the last one I received:
The second episode of Food Babe TV was rough to make. We had a window of about 10 mins to film it because it was raining off and on. My hair was a disaster and I kept slipping and sliding all over the place about to break my neck. And on top of that – I had only 4 tries to get the final reel right. Talk about pressure! When you watch the video, you’ll know what I mean ☺Watch & Read Here: http://foodbabe.com/2013/09/23/are-you-eating-this-ingredient-banned-all-over-the-world/
It’s shocking the FDA allows this ingredient.
Please remember to share this info with your friends and family.
We all deserve to know the truth.
Wishing you an awesome week full of healthy eats,

http://foodbabe.com/ – is not a WordPress.COM site – has annoying spammy popups, redirects and other behavior that I find to be such that I will never visit them again

Foodbabe asks people to sign up for their mailing list, I assume. That’s different than asking people to subscribe to receive blog posts.
If you want to set up a mailing list and send out weekly bulletins, you could do it using Mailchimp. Instructions for incorporating Mailchimp into your wordpress.com blog are here: How to add a MailChimp signup form to your WordPress blog
