Someone has stolen my blog address
my blog: editmarket.wordpress.com
On the dashboard, under “Tips” I pressed the link “change to editmarketblog.wordpress.com for $18” to see what options are available, since I was considering upgrading. The change took effect immediately! I did NOT authorise change of blog address nor payment. I am worried that this is a malicious act getting hold of my payment details from another blog that I manage.
The address editmarket.wordpress.com is mine and I want it back. I do not want the address editmarketblog.wordpress.com
I trust wordpress and I manage many blogs within it. I do not want to change to another blogging supplier- please help me keep my trust in wordpress, by returning the web address: editmarket.wordpress.com
Thank you.

Hi there, the only paid upgrade I see on your account is the custom domain rochesterandwestkentartsociety.org, purchased on May 8, 2013.
The address editmarket.wordpress.com belongs to another user and was registered back in 2009 and untouched since then: http://editmarket.wordpress.com/
I’ve checked the technical history on your site editmarketblog.wordpress.com and it does not appear that a blog name change was ever initiated.
Just let me know if you need further help.

Thank you Kathryn for your reply.
I manage more than one blog on wordpress, and I have been very confident of WordPress’s reliability and security. However, this issue is raising my doubts.
editmarket.wordpress.com is my address, I created it after 2011, it belongs to me not to another user.
Just today, the address was taken away and replaced by editmarketblog.wordpress.com which I do not want.
If you check the stolen address you notice that there is nothing on the blog that uses the name: ajisakaIt is important for wordpress to investigate this issue in depth since this indicates a breech of security.
I trust the technical capability and the integrity of the wordpress team and I look forward to their reply.
Thank you

We take security very seriously at WordPress.com but we’ve researched what happened and there is no evidence of an intrusion, hacking, or any other malicious activity.
The message you saw in your dashboard was prompting you to register the custom domain version of your blog name. Since the blog name was editmarketblog.wordpress.com, the message was suggesting that you may want to register editmarketblog.com for $18, which is our price for a .com domain. You can read more about this option here:
You did not make the domain purchase, and the domain editmarketblog.com is still available to register. No transactions appear on your site.
The audit trail on your site shows that the blog name was never changed from editmarketblog.wordpress.com since it was registered on November 4, 2012. As I mentioned earlier, the site http://editmarket.wordpress.com/ belongs to a different user, and was registered back in 2009.
On the Editmarket Facebook page, there is a post from the editmarketblog.wordpress.com, shared back on November 4, 2012. You can see it here:

I hope this helps clear things up. Just let me know if you need further help.
