Someone I know is locked out of their account

  They no longer have access to the email that the account is set up with and cannot contact wordpress without signing in, which it will not let them do as their wordpress password has reset and sent to an email that no longer exists. Is there anything that can be done about this. They have seen the form that an be filled in, but are unable to attach the required documents as they do not have access to the old email anymore

  Recover Your Account

  If you can’t, please contact passwordhelp@wordpress.com with the site name, username, and any proof that might indicate this site was yours.

  @amritkaur2412, every email address you add to your reply will be automatically hidden so the user to whom you’re replying will not see it. Please add the tag modlook to the thread if needed, rather than posting the email address to our Account Recovery team.

  
  @henrylightfoothl, we won’t be able to help without any of the ownership proofs mentioned in the account recovery form. You friend may send an email to passwordhelp@wordpress.com for more information but bear in mind that we are going through a backlog at the moment so they may wait longer than usual for the reply.
