Someone is using my domain and corporate name.

My name is taken, obviously by someone who attempted to do some marketing for me. They created an account and posted once, in May of 2009. Although I had no idea of this, the post obviously refers to my studio in Times Square, NY. I would like to post using my domain and corporate name, JaelYoga (JaelYoga.com/JaelYoga. Inc.). Perhaps you would send a message to whomever used my name in 2009, asking them to allow me to take over the account.

What is the URL of the WordPress.com site you are referring to? The one linked to your username and noted as the blog URL is the one you created today.

No that won’t be happening. This is why. The blog is the property of the user who registered and who owns it. If the comments are open of there is a contact form you can contact the blog owner and request they transfer the blog to your username account. Be aware that you can purchase your own domain name via a domain mapping upgrade and then it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com sub-domain URL is. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/

Thank you all! I’m just figuring this all out, so thanks for helping. JustJennifer, the blog address is JaelYoga.wordpress.com. I do own JaelYoga.com, so I can go ahead and attach or, in plain language, send it to my website and back. I guess I will do that, although I would like to get my ducks n’ names all in a row. Jael (ps.: all this code is frightening me, I’m looking forward to a long and shallow learning curve)
