Someone is using my name and posting false information

  Hi.
  I found a post with my real name in it, where someone had posted something about a topic which I absolutely do not take a stand for or want anything to do with, but that person has still used my name without consent or without any basis. And it is as I mentioned my real name too. What do I do about it? I really want it removed, because that can cause some serious problems for me IRL, since its my real name used, and I don’t wanna write it here either or link it, because this forum is public, so please if someone can help me and let me know how to proceed and who to contact.
